PaddleSpot App Launches to Help Locals Discover the Best Paddleboarding Spots on the Gulf Coast
Pensacola, FL – July 2025 — A new app built right here on the Gulf Coast is making it easier for paddlers to explore the water. PaddleSpot, now available on the App Store, is a free, community-driven platform that helps paddleboarders and kayakers find the best launch spots, read reviews, and share their own hidden gems.
Created by Pensacola local Tyler Feil, PaddleSpot started as a passion project after noticing how hard it was to discover reliable places to paddle without scouring Facebook threads or outdated blog posts.
"I wanted something simple. An easy way to find spots, see what other paddlers are saying, and get inspired to get outside," said Tyler. "So I built it."
🗺️ What PaddleSpot Offers
The app lets users:
Explore a map of curated paddle spots
View important details like parking, amenities, and water type
Read and leave reviews and photos
Submit their own favorite spots
Save places to revisit later
With a local-first approach, PaddleSpot launches with a focus on the Pensacola area but has plans to expand across the Gulf Coast and beyond.
🌊 Built for the Community
Unlike other outdoor apps, PaddleSpot is designed to be lightweight, beautiful, and built around real paddler input. All spot submissions are reviewed to ensure quality and safety. A curated sponsor model keeps the app free and community-focused without cluttering the experience.
📱 Now Available
PaddleSpot is free to download on the Apple App Store. Early users are encouraged to leave reviews and submit their favorite spots to help grow the platform.
