A new app built on the Gulf Coast is making it easier for paddlers to explore the water. PaddleSpot is a free, community-driven platform that helps paddleboarders and kayakers find launch spots, read reviews, and share their own favorite places.
PaddleSpot started as a passion project after seeing how difficult it could be to find reliable places to paddle without digging through Facebook threads, scattered recommendations, or outdated information.
“I wanted something simple. An easy way to find spots, see what other paddlers are saying, and get inspired to get outside. So I built it.”
What PaddleSpot Offers
The app gives paddlers one place to:
- Explore a map of curated paddle spots
- View details such as parking, amenities, and water type
- Read and leave reviews and photos
- Submit new paddle spots
- Save places to revisit later
PaddleSpot launched with a local-first focus on the Pensacola area, with plans to continue expanding across the Gulf Coast and beyond.
Built for the Community
PaddleSpot is designed around real paddler input. Spot submissions are reviewed before being added, helping keep the information useful and trustworthy. The goal is to keep the experience simple, community-focused, and free to use.
Now Available
PaddleSpot is available on the Apple App Store. Early users are encouraged to leave reviews, submit their favorite spots, and help grow the map for other paddlers.
