Big Lagoon
A scenic Big Lagoon State Park launch with marshes, protected water, restrooms, and access to longer Intracoastal paddling routes.

What to know before you go
Big Lagoon State Park is a strong Pensacola-area option when you want protected coastal water without heading straight into Gulf surf. The park offers paddling access through salt marsh, lagoon shoreline, and the Intracoastal Waterway, with restrooms and other park amenities nearby.
You can keep the trip short around the protected shoreline or extend your paddle toward Perdido Key and the Intracoastal. The park is also a trailhead for the Florida Circumnavigational Saltwater Paddling Trail. Check current park fees, wind, and boat traffic before heading out.
