Joe’s Bayou Boat Ramp is one of Destin’s larger public launch facilities, with five ramp lanes, parking, and restrooms. It gives paddlers direct access to Joe’s Bayou and nearby Choctawhatchee Bay.
The facility is built mainly for trailered boats, so kayakers and paddleboarders should be mindful of launch traffic and stay out of the way of boats backing down the ramps. The City of Destin currently charges a daily launch fee for non-pass holders, while qualifying Destin residents may use a city pass.
